Some years ago, when I was discussing with a friend whether to take a risk and launch the InternetTIPS.com Website Entrepreneur Success Center (IWESC)™ — and trying to talk myself out of the idea, telling myself about "the risks ...", "what if …", and so on. Well, here’s what happened …

You know how sometimes you can simply be too close to something to see the whole picture properly? Then sometimes, fate seems to take over. Here's an example: my friend blurted out this time-honored, classic question:

Brian, if you knew you could not fail and you already had everything you want in life, what would you be doing right now

Now I suspect this man probably knows me better than I know myself. Even though I was facing the opposite direction, relaxing and enjoying the remarkable view over the rich, rolling landscape around my home here on the beautiful Island of Skye in Scotland, I could easily imagine that his smug (but entirely sincere) facial expression, would already tell me that he knew what I was about to say.

Want to know what my reply was? After a few moments of careful thought, here’s what I said:

I'd be having a lot of fun helping regular folks anywhere discover how to build their own dream of getting out of the rat race and creating a life of freedom and prosperity using the web. I would give people the facts, not the spin — and I'd be writing about it for anyone who wants to read my ramblings.
