What Would You Do …?

So even if I didn't need to work, I’d still be doing what I'm doing now: having a blast working with great clients to create all that goes into an effective e-commerce web site for small businesses and individuals who, like me, simply want a better quality of life.

You see, for an overactive mind like mine, helping people create their own profitable web business using low-cost tools is just so much fun — that’s the only explanation I can give. If you think that’s strange, well you’re probably right: most writers have a touch of madness anyway.

The idea of earning a great living on your own terms using the Internet has always appealed to me — even with the dot com shake-down — and I know the prospect also appeals to a lot of other people too.

Avoiding the Scams

Problem is, as most folks realize, scam artists seem to be quite common. So how does anyone who hasn't got the time, opportunities and lucky breaks I've had in life, find the genuine opportunities from someone they can trust, when there is so much trash available from folks who are often clearly more interested in making themselves richer than genuinely helping those who need a helping hand?

And during this last 12 months, in preparation for launching this business, I've been doing what most people can do — if they had the time — I've been checking IN GREAT DETAIL into all sorts of practical Internet business opportunities — and trying to sort out the genuine, worthwhile prospects from, well the vast trough of Internet marketing rubbish.

If that sounds a bit harsh, well, seeing this kind of rubbish day in and day out has made me a bit frazzled — and annoyed that a lot of ordinary folks everywhere are being taken advantage of. If you don’t know already — and especially if you’re new to Internet marketing — I ask you to just trust me as a professional writer/researcher.

I don't see myself as an Internet marketer and don't particularly like the label, since there IS a lot of complete nonsense being promoted on the Internet. If you don't know already, trust me, you can lose your money and waste your time pretty quickly if you get sucked in!

Here's My Goal. What's Yours?

So why can I say all this? What makes what I've got to say any different? It’s simple: I'm not interested in building a million dollar empire and don’t mind making such a public admission. I already have most of what I want in life; reasonable health (fingers crossed), wonderful friends and family; a relaxed lifestyle on the beautiful Scottish island of Skye – and time to spend on activities I enjoy. So whether as a result of what you read in my weekly e-newsletter: "InternetTIPS.com Tip of the Week", whether you decide to buy or not buy, doesn't really matter. If that sounds un-businesslike, well that's OK too.

What does interest me is quality of life, values, having time to enjoy the simple things in life; fun; the change of the seasons, etc., and you can do all of those things without earning a fortune. So what you’ll get from me is honesty, integrity and more than a bit of plain speaking.

Oh, and did I mention that you don't need to spend much money establishing your own profitable Web business? More later in "InternetTIPS.com Tip of the Week."
