About Our e-Newsletters
- We'll only send our e-newsletter to people who have fully registered at this website. We use a simple double-opt-in registration procedure to help better confirm that the person registering is indeed the owner of the email address used to register.
Even after you fully register at InternetTIPS.com, to ensure that your registration confirmation email and email newsletters that you sign up for do not get lost in your Internet Service Provider (ISP) Spam filters, please make sure you add @Internettips.com to your address book(s) or white-list, or set up a filter at your ISP to ensure communications from InternetTIPS.com can reach you.
- We've created a web page that explains more about white-lists and covers most of the popular email programs. For more information, go to how to set up a white-list for the most popular email programs.
- Content for our email newsletter will also usually be available at www.InternetTIPS.com website too.
- You can access our previously published newsletters in our e-newsletter archive.
If You're Still Not Receiving Your InternetTIPS.com E-Newsletter or Updates
Some users are reporting that they are not receiving our e-newsletters. When we investigate, in most instances, that is because some users have mistakenly chosen the option to turn off receiving newsletters and updates.
How is that possible? All subscribers are free to off receiving updates and this option is entirely under your control after you log in. However, if you choose not to receive updates, you won't also receive your e-newsletter. To turn updates back on, please follow the steps below.
How to Turn Updates Back On
Follow the steps below:
- Log into InternetTIPS.com, using the username and password you first chose when you first registered at InternetTIPS.com . Or if either you or we have updated your password since then, use your latest password.
- If you have lost or forgotten your password, you can easily retrieve it using our "Lost Password" link situated under the Login button on the "Register and Customer Login" section placed on the home page, upper left column. Then, in the "Lost Your Password?" screen, enter the Username and the email address you used to register. Our membership manager then automatically sends you your current password. You can update or change your password after you have logged in.
- To ensure that you can receive our email newsletters, after you have logged in as described above, under "E-Newsletter Subscribe" in the upper left column, make sure a tick mark is present next to "Tip of the Week". Furthermore, if you want to receive your e-newsletter in HTML format, also make sure a tick mark is present next to "Receive HTML?".
- If there is no tick mark in one or both check boxes, simply click the box to insert a tick mark.
- Also, make sure you have added @internettips.com and @internettips.net to your email address book. For more information, see our guidelines on white listing.
Steps to Take if You're Still Not Receiving InternetTIPS.com Bulletins?
Even after following the steps above, some users are still reporting that they are not receiving our e-newsletters. On closer inspection, almost always that is because the user has not completed the original double-opt-in subscription.
Remember, as a responsible e-newsletter provider, we have a 2-stage, "double-opt-in" subscription process. This simple method:
- Prevents someone subscribing another person without their express permission, and ...
- Helps prevent spamming and ...
- Ensures that whoever applies is indeed the genuine subscriber.
- Proves that only genuine InternetTIPS.com subscribers receive genuine news bulletins from InternetTIPS.com. Anyone who think they're receiving news from InternetTIPS.com yet has not gone through the process outlined on this page is not receiving genuine updates from InternetTIPS.com, but a spoof of illegal copy.
That means, when you subscribe, you complete Stage 1 of 2 of your subscription process. At this point, you're still not subscribed.
After you subscribe, we automatically send you a confirmation email containing an encrypted link. This is Stage 2 of 2. You're required to click this encrypted link. If you don't click the encrypted link to confirm that you are indeed the true subscriber, your subscription is not fully complete. As a result, you won't be:
- Fully subscribed, and therefore, you won't be ...
- Able to log in, receive e-newsletters or updates.
If you have completed Stage 1 of 2, but not Stage 2 of 2, and still want to log in and receive updates, you have three alternatives:
- Option 1: retrieve your original confirmation email from your email records or web mail provider and click the confirmation link, or ...
- Option 2: Contact InternetTIPS.com Customer Support Services, include the username you chose, your email address and ask us to manually confirm your Stage 2 subscription. Why: we need your express email authorization for our records.
- Option 3: First, make doubly sure that you have added @internettips.com to your address book, set up a special filter, or added us to your email white list. Why: your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be preventing you receiving our e-newsletters. Some ISPs are poor at determining email you want from email you don't want. That means you have to train them better if you want to receive our information. More information about white-listing is available at the top of this page. Then register again using a different email address. Make sure you click the authorization link in the confirmation email message that should arrive soon after.
