You see, the cost of training anyone today in almost every developed country is high. What's more, resources are usually stretched - sometimes to breaking point! So organizations that provide training naturally want to make sure they select the most suitable people. However, the problem with that approach is that many get left behind.
Therefore, my small piece advice to anyone of any age is:
- To not underestimate the value of self-training. If you can persuade someone who has the skills you're seeking to learn, to teach you what you need to know, without costing thousands of tens of thousands, then I urge you to jump at such a chance.
- If you think you can get to enjoy the process of writing online - using text, graphics and video - and explore how to connect with others, create honest deals and persuade sufficient numbers of people to put their trust in you, your products, services, and suggestions, then dear reader, you have a career - for life if you want. No need to pay potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars or pounds on university fees: you can learn most of what you need online right now, for a fraction of the cost you'll spend getting a degree.
However, once you have a nice income coming in from your online activities, you could also benefit by working toward a communications related degree if that interest you - except this time, you can pay for your studies as you learn, them from profits earned through your existing profitable online activities, and therefore, avoid having a student loan debt.
