Initially announced 2 years ago, to allow websites to fully prepare, the GDPR became law on May 25, 2018. Moreover, the GDPR is not "finished", rather GDPR is expected to continually evolve and grow over time. GDPR affects website owners situated both inside the EU and those elsewhere in the world.
